Ofek Yishai, 26, is a Development Team Lead at Axon Vision, where he leads development activities for AI-based operational systems protecting IDF soldiers and other militaries. He began as a software developer in the company and now leads engineering teams on major projects for the company’s core land-combat products. Before joining Axon Vision he served in the IDF’s Technology and Maintenance Corps, leading development projects for the Merkava Mk.4 “Barak” tank and serving as a project officer despite not holding an officer rank. Ofek is self-taught in software engineering and is concurrently completing a Computer Science degree. In his spare time he works on electronics, built a 3D printer himself, and is also a professional photographer and certified diver.
